Kraków Technology Park: The Most Innovative Economic Zone in Europe!

For the second time in its history, Kraków Technology Park (KPT) has been recognized in the Global Free Zones of the Year ranking by fDi Intelligence, a division of the Financial Times, for its exceptional performance in the field of special economic zones worldwide. This year, the KPT-managed zone was recognized as the most innovative in Europe.

The category focused on zones that strategically attract tenants from innovative industries and sectors such as technology start-ups, green energy, data centers, 3D printing, and more. Zones could stand out through state-of-the-art infrastructure, advanced manufacturing facilities, and research and development centers that foster innovation in Europe. The jury noted: Kraków Technology Park (KPT) reflects Poland's attractiveness to international companies seeking innovative solutions in Europe.

This is an incredibly significant success for KPT. Another prestigious award this time highlights the innovative nature of the companies investing in Małopolska. Let me remind you that last year we were named the best zone in Europe in the Industrial Champion category. These awards serve as a great incentive for foreign companies to invest in our country.

This year, a total of 63 submissions from around the world were received. The award committee reviewed each submission and evaluated the responses of each zone to 10 questions regarding criteria such as infrastructure, sustainability, incentives, management, and new investments. A ranking of the top 10 zones worldwide was also developed.

Among the Polish zones honored was the Katowice Special Economic Zone, which this year became the European winner in two categories: Industrial Champion and Sustainable Zones. Congratulations!

The Global Free Zones of the Year 2024 aims to identify zones offering the best investment environment as well as prospects for business expansion and economic growth. The ranking, published by the Financial Times, one of the most influential financial newspapers in the world, highlights the best economic zones globally and regionally, awarding them for their specialized services.
