On August 18, a high-level strategic meeting took place at the Krakow Technology Park to discuss a landmark investment package by MAN Truck & Bus, valued at over PLN 5 billion.
MAN Truck & Bus SE, as part of the globally operating TRATON Group, is undergoing a transformation toward electrification, digitalization, and automation. As such, we plan to continue investing in new technologies and production facilities. The first phase involves expanding production capacity for battery module and pack assembly to meet growing demand. A decision on the initial investment location will be made in Q3 2025. Poland—specifically Kraków or Niepołomice—is being considered, alongside Slovakia and Germany.
Marc Langendorf, Head of Communications, MAN Truck & Bus SE

MAN is a key investor in Małopolska, operating on a global scale, whose presence in Poland is further strengthened by other Volkswagen Group plants. The choice of Niepołomice as the location for further strategic projects—20 years after the first investment—is not only a decision about where these initiatives will be carried out, but also a strong development impulse for potential suppliers. As a Special Economic Zone, we consistently support the creation of the best possible conditions for investment, providing such projects with the backing of the Polish Investment Zone
