Events for indie game developers will be an important part of Digital Dragons Conference 2025 (May 18-20). Indie Zone is a special exhibition space to highlight, promote and celebrate the most interesting projects from indie game developers of recent months. We also know the names of new speakers of the Conference - the call for program continues until the end of March.
In 2024, nearly 19,000 games have been released on Steam, the vast majority of which are independent productions. The competition is sizable and just releasing a game is not enough to win the attention of the player.
Among so many debuting games, it is difficult to stand out. Exposure at industry events, such as Digital Dragons Conference 2025, is crucial for indie game developers. It's a great opportunity to find an investor, publisher or other valuable business contacts.

Experience the magic of indie games at Digital Dragons Conference 2025
Indie Zone is an expo space where indie game developers will vie for the attention of publishers, investors, media and leading game developers - suffice it to say that the previous edition of the conference hosted such big studios as Activision and Larian Studios. Each exhibitor will have a fully equipped booth, and everyone can also participate in Digital Dragons Arena and Indie Dragons Awards.
Digital Dragons Arena is a pitching space where game developers present their projects to investors ready to support their development. It's a chance to win support that can change the fate of a project. Indie Dragons Awards, on the other hand, is a competition for the best indie game from Indie Zone, the winner of which will be announced at Digital Dragons Awards gala. For the first time in event's history, indie developers will receive awards on a big stage, in the spotlight of the entire Polish gamedev together with the creators of AAA hits. This is a unique opportunity to gain recognition in the industry. Additionally, Webedia Poland will award the winner with a promotional campaign on GRYOnLine.pl worth 25,000 PLN and AMD - Technology & Indie Zone Partner of the conference - will award a hardware prizes. Talks for indie game developers (but not only!)
Indie Zone is not the only reason why independent developers should head to Krakow in May. This is because the conference program will include topics that are crucial from their perspective. Magdalena Cielecka and Agata Hacura from Anshar Studios will present practical tips on budget management, essential for successful project planning and execution. Andrei Podoprigory from Forklift Interactive will share his experience in raising funds for original games. Łukasz Łukasik from Techland, in turn, will talk about “impostor syndrome” a common phenomenon in creative work that can affect confidence and performance. At the same time, a second call for speakers is open until 3 March. You can apply via a special form.
Ticket sales for Game Design Summit powered by Anshar Studios & Fool’s Theory have also started. These are practical workshops in an intimate setting, led, among others, by Josh Sawyer (Studio Design Director, Obsidian Entertainment), Marta Fijak (experienced Game Designer and Digital Dragons Award winner), and Paweł Gąska-Łuksza (Quest Designer, CD PROJEKT RED). The number of spots is limited. The event will take place on the first day of Digital Dragons Conference 2025.
