For the first time in history, Krakow Technology Park has received an award presented by fDi Intelligence, a part of Financial Times Ltd., in the field of special economic zones worldwide. KPT was named the best zone in Europe in the Industrial Champion category.
The Industrial Champion Awards, given for the first time this year, are a recognition of the world's best zones for manufacturing facilities. “Kraków Technology Park is focused on building its reputation as an SEZ that hosts factories of the future. It’s a successful strategy for the free zone, which is a favourite among industrial firms," reads the justification. Companies here have access to the European Digital Innovation Hub, which helps them implement Industry 4.0 solutions such as digitization and robotics. Acceleration programs validate solutions for production challenges by connecting startups with large, established industrial companies.
I am very proud of this award. The "fDi Intelligence: Global Free Zones of the Year" award is a prestigious distinction that can attract the attention of investors and companies, encouraging them to consider investing in a country that has been recognized as a leader in the field of special economic zones,"
commented Tadeusz Zaremba, CEO of KPT.
This year's ranking also included previously awarded Polish zones that have been in the top ten best zones in the world for several years: Katowice Special Economic Zone ranked fourth, and Łódź Special Economic Zone ranked tenth. Congratulations and we are pleased to join this prestigious group.
