Technology Park
Kraków Technology Park (KPT) celebrated its 25th birthday on 17 February. Held at its headquarters, the gala provided an opportunity to wrap up the achievements not only of the KPT itself but also of the companies that the KPT has cooperated with in all those years, and to present selected companies being part of the KPT ecosystem with the 25 Years Prizes: golden statuettes of the Małopolska Tree of Innovation and Investment.
Our mission is to support the modern economy of Małopolska by helping businesses to develop. The KPT offers programmes, measures, and activities designed to support entrepreneurs at various stages of their operation. On our 25th birthday, we decided to recognise their work and achievements, because their success is what we find the most important
Tadeusz Zaremba, CEO of KPT explained.

The unique golden statuettes were presented to:
Autenti sp. z o.o.: One out of Ten prize
For attracting an unprecedented investment and readiness to share the know-how.
KPT tenants
M.A.D. Engineers sp. z o.o.: Longest with Us prize
At KPT, we appreciate not only technologies and corporate development, but also the fact that, despite continuous expansion, the enterprise stays in our ecosystem and reaches its goals with us. This prize pays an homage to good cooperation and determination in action.
Velis Real Estate Tech: International Success prize
We preach growth and development, and are very happy to have on our board companies that draw from contacts and cooperation, reaching far beyond the borders of our country. Velis has successfully expanded to foreign markets, and currently does fruitful sales on five continents.
WEARFITS sp. z o.o.: Innovative Enterprise prize
Innovation is absolutely our kind of thing. Therefore, we recognise WEARFITS for bringing the digital revolution to the fashion sector.
Games Sector
Reality Games sp. z o. o.: Games Master prize
Spectacular successes and painful stumbles. The opportunities exploited and unforeseeable threats. Allies and antagonists. Yet above all, a tenacious business journey. This is the order of battle for Reality Games, a company designing mobile games based on Big Data. In gratitude for seven years of great cooperation, support, and involvement in supporting the games development sector, we have awarded the Reality Games team.
Special economic zone / Polish Investment Zone
PROTECH sp. z o.o.: Spectacular Success prize
A perfect example of growth: for 18 years with us in the Zatorska Economic Zone that we have the honour of supporting. The company is also a perfect example of succession and success.
The event provided an opportunity for minister Waldemar Buda to present distinctions for contribution to the Polish economy to five companies: Poltreg, Dako, Fideltronik, Synerise, and Protech. The KPT staff were also presented with distinctions and medals for long-term service.
The event attracted the participation of international networks that KPT belongs to. Those present included Ebba Lund, president of the IASP (International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation) and Bram Paubels of EBN (European Business and Innovation Centre Network)

The official part was accompanied by the entertainment zone that illustrated technology changes in the last 25 years. Vintage game machines from the 1990s were juxtaposed against the augmented reality and other solutions to prove the technological leap that we have witnessed in the last quarter of a century.
Many companies that KPT has cooperated with for years have contributed to the event. One of the statuettes was presented by a robot branded by Husarion, and one of the game machines was delivered by Rage Quit Games
Kraków Technology Park
Kraków Technology Park (KPT) was incorporated in 1997 as Centrum Zaawansowanych Technologii – Kraków sp. z o.o. to manage the special economic zone. The name was changed in 2004, parallel to expanding the operation and adding functions characteristic of a technology park. The first permits for investments were issued in 1999, and just a year later, KPT was one of Poland’s first parks to join the IASP (International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation). The first building of the Technology Incubator in Czyżyny was completed in 2008, and the current headquarters opened in 2016. KPT’s offer has expanded to cover programmes providing support throughout the enterprise development cycle and focusing on incubation, acceleration, funding, initiation of events, and cooperation with various sectors. The first Digital Dragons Conference for the games development sector was held in 2012. In 2015, KPT was certified as a Living Lab. Beginning with 2018, KPT has managed the Polish Investment Zone in Małopolska and the Jędrzejowski County. By 2022, the total investment outlay under the Polish Investment Zone had exceeded the total investment outlay of the special economic zone from the time of its operation (to compare: PLN 6.2 billion in 1997–2018, and PLN 7.8 billion in 2018–22). Currently KPT operates in two buildings, runs several international projects, and supports around 400 businesses within its ecosystem.
