Polish and foreign speakers shared their knowledge at the first online Digital Dragons edition. Although the conference was held virtually it was full of great talks, discussion panels, and expert content. Among the key speakers, this year was Garry Schyman known for his music to Bioshock series, Austin Wintory responsible for the soundtrack to Journey and Banner Saga, Chris Bourassa co-creator of Darkes Dungeon, Randy Varnell writer & producer of Borderlands and Remedy Entartnements representatives.
Besides lectures, there are recordings of our panels. Among others, there is "The elusive truth" moderated by Artur Gnaszyniec with top narrative designers. We also recommend the talk run by Piotr Gnyp about marketing during the times of pandemic, in which Thomas Puha from Remedy, Patryk Grzeszczuk from 11 bit studios and Shawn Petraschuk from Evolve PR share their thoughts on the subject.
All of the talks are now available on YouTube. This year’s lectures provided over 35 hours of material from 77 lecturers. Among the highest-rated talks are: „De Otio: How an Ancient Roman philosopher can improve your craft as a Game Designer” Guglielmo Gregori, „Questionable Characters: Hero & Monster Design in Darkest Dungeon” Chris Bourassa, „Be Brutal: The simplicity and brutality of Control’s architecture” Stuart Macdonald.
