Digital Dragons only a week away!

The leading game industry event in Central Europe is beginning on the 15 of September! It will take place online 15-18 of September. The four-day event is going to be full of great lectures, discussion panels, business opportunities, the best indie games, and an award gala. The conference platform is opened, and the registration is free as an attendee with Regular Pass, and Business Pass is on a 50% discount.

Programme

Agenda if full of 65 lectures and discussion panels and among the notable speakers are Darkest Dungeon creator Chris Bourassa, Randy Varnell Borderlands creator. Amanda Kruse from Hivemind, and a strong representative from Remedy. Now, this noble group joins Garry Schyman, BioShocks score creator, Austin Wintory, responsible for the music to Journey and Banner Saga. Registered attendees can bookmark, the session they’re interested in creating their own agenda.

As a reminder, the talks will take place in two sessions. The morning session starts at 9.00 AM CET, and the evening session starts at 4.00 PM CET, to cover a wide range of time zones.

Meetings

After the registration Business Pass owners have the option to set up meetings in the conference app. All the attendees can create their profile, their company profile and select or create tags to showcase what they’re interested in.

Although we’re not meeting face to face, we want to be a place where the East meets the West, creating many business opportunities for the game dev industry. We tried to move as many elements online as we could, and we’re hoping the attendees can still get a lot from our event.

Digital Dragons Awards

The last day of the event, at 7.00 PM CET Digital Dragons Awards Gala. The organisers prepared a gala one of its kind, it will be full of memorable moments.

Says Sonia Wojciechowska, who is conducting the gala, at which we'll be crowning the winners in six categories: Best Polish Game of 2019, Best Polish Game Design of 2019, Best Polish Game Art of 2019, Best Polish Mobile Game of 2019, Best Polish Game Orginal Soundtrack of 2019, Best Foreign Game of 2019. During the Gala, the winners of Indie Showcase will be announced, awarding the Best Indie Game Title to three games, alongside the Community Vote.

Indie Showcase

Apart from the sessions in the conference platform, 66 games will be showcased on Steam and GOG.com. All the games participating in the Indie Showcase will have a playable demo available to the audience. During the event, there are streams planned in multiple languages to display all the games to a wide audience.

Digital Dragons online is an experiment, a consequence of these difficult times. We’re happy to take up a challenge all the more as KPT’s experiments mostly end with great results. This year for the sixth time we’ll present our nationwide research - Polish Gamers Research 2020, prepared by Kraków Technology Park alongside our partners. But that’s not all, as always Digital Dragons will be full of content for people from the game industry.

Last year Digital Dragons gathered 2000 participants from 650 companies coming from 48 countries. Over 100 speakers contributed 83 lectures full of insightful knowledge and case studies grounded in the expert know-how.
