As many as sixty-six games picked by the jury in the result of their voting are qualified to participate in the Digital Dragons Indie Showcase on 15-18 September - a competition organized annually by Kraków Technology Park as a part of Digital Dragons conference. The co-organizer of this year's contest is Walkabout Games. Indie Showcase 2020 Partners are Valve, GOG.COM and AMD (Award Sponsor).
It was a very busy time for the jury because we've got more than 210 submissions from 38 countries. Eventually, we’re presenting an interesting selection of games showing the achievements of indie developers from many places around the world: Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom and the United States. The cool thing is that players will be able to play all the demos on Steam during the event from September 15-18.
Maria Błędowska, Indie Showcase Coordinator
Another year and another gigantic success in terms of the number of games submitted into the contest. It's not easy to check more than 200 titles, but it's nice that we had so many productions from all over the world. From our eastern, western or southern neighbors, through half of Europe in total, to the games from the USA, Brazil or South Korea, and even Indonesia and Japan. After all, productions from Poland constituted about 25% of the total. We are also glad that the level of production is growing year by year, so the jury did not have an easy job but the players will be able to see really successful games from the farthest corners of the Globe.
