This year, the Digital Dragons Conference opens the door to an acceleration programme for startups from outside Poland. Its participants have a unique opportunity to win a grant of up to 70 thousand Euro.
The conference has just launched a fast track, called by the organisers Golden Ticket to the acceleration programme. International startups willing to develop their business in Poland can already submit their projects. One of them will be awarded the Golden Ticket during this year’s Digital Dragons conference.
The Digital Dragons Accelerator powered by KPT Poland Prize is a programme for young and promising development studios from outside Poland who want to develop their business in Poland, have a prototype in production or a track record in developing and publishing games. In addition to the usual accelerator opportunities to find a publisher, partners, or mentors, it also offers a chance to finance one’s own projects.
As part of the programme, developers can count on a non-equity grant of up to EUR 70,000, support from the organisers as well as investors and publishers who are partners of the programme. Participants can be sure that during the acceleration they will be provided with assistance in finding companies and institutions supporting startups in all formal matters, such as establishing and running a company.
Get the Golden Ticket to the exclusive acceleration programme
The organisers envisage two paths to qualify for the programme - standard and accelerated, also known as Golden Ticket. As part of the standard path, applications are planned to be collected until 9 September, after which the stage of selection and individual talks will take place.
Startups, on the other hand, which will choose the accelerated path and want to showcase during the Digital Dragons Conference, have time to register until 17 August. By 31 August, they will be informed whether they have qualified for pitching. On 8 September, they will pitch in front of a panel of Digital Dragons Accelerator experts and partners and on 9 September, they will discover who has qualified for the programme. Those who do not get the Golden Ticket will continue to be considered for the standard recruitment process.
The Golden Ticket that will be awarded during this year’s conference means an automatic pass to the accelerator programme. To get it, you need to fill in the registration form, and after qualifying, present your project on 8 September during the Digital Dragons conference in the formula of a pitching battle. From among the competing projects, the jury will decide who deserves the Golden Ticket the most. The results will be announced on the final day of the conference - 9 September.
Digital Dragons is one of the largest European gamedev conferences. This year, the event will be held from 7-9 September online and offline - during the third special day. The organisers have taken care of numerous, interesting lectures and prepared discussion panels which will touch upon the topics important for the games industry. Moreover, they have made it possible to arrange business meetings and convenient networking.
