Kraków Technology Park (KPT) issued 60 support decisions support as part of the Polish Investment Zone in 2023. Entrepreneurs have declared a total investment outlay of PLN 2 003 899 655.59 and opening 1099 new jobs.
This year‘s result in the Polish Investment Zone (PSI) is the second best in its history in Małopolska when it comes to the number of decisions issued, and the third in terms of declared investment outlay. The record number of decisions was issued in the wake of the investment decisions following the difficult year of the pandemic. The result achieved in 2023 proves our determination and intensified activity aimed at reaching out to entrepreneurs acquainting them with the potential that the Polish Investment Zone offers. Last year marked the fifth anniversary of introduction of the PSI. It is worth reminding that the investment outlay under the programme exceeded the results obtained by the special economic zone that had previously been in operation for over 20 years. for the first time in the history of the Kraków Technology Park, our efforts were recognised by FdI Intelligence, a specialist division of Financial Times Ltd, as the KPT was named Europe’s best Industrial Champion zone. This accolade recognises both the investment activity of Polish and foreign businesses that KPT supports, and the rich activity/operation of the technology park whose pinnacle was joining the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) in 2023. This year, the government has approved an amendment to the regulation on public aid, which, I hope, will be another incentive for entrepreneurs.”
