ACCELERATOR BREAKS THE BOUNDARIES OF INDUSTRY 4.0

Following an intensive international recruitment drive, leading Industry 4.0 accelerator KPT ScaleUP is launching a six-month support programme for 11 foreign startups. The technological companies will create dedicated solutions for companies operating in Poland.

After seven successful editions of the acceleration of domestic startups, the KPT ScaleUP accelerator team faced a new challenge. The next round of the support programme for technological companies was to be carried out with the participation of startups from outside Poland. Over the last few months, the accelerator's experts had been working intensively on the strategy of operation, on acquiring industrial partners and, finally, on recruiting startups that had innovative solutions from the area of Industry 4.0 in their offer and were interested in expanding their activities to the Polish market.

The result of our efforts was 124 applications from startups from 38 countries on 4 continents. They all focused on how to solve technological challenges submitted by our partners, including MAN Trucks, Maspex Group, Budimex SA or Kęty Group. From all of these applications, we selected the 11 best suited to the partners' needs. Now, for the next six months, teams consisting of foreign startups and Polish companies will work together to implement the innovations submitted to the accelerator.

The starting acceleration programme is expected to benefit both young, technological companies and industrial giants. The former will receive real support from KPT ScaleUP when starting business on a new market. They will also gain the possibility of real cooperation with a large industrial partner that may become their first customer. Large companies, on the other hand, can accelerate their growth thanks to the startups, solving the obstacles they have diagnosed faster. Thanks to the KPT ScaleUP accelerator programme, Industry 4.0 will also gain, enriching itself with new companies, new products and a wider technological offering.

We were looking for mature, conscious startups that are serious about internationalising their businesses. Therefore, during the recruitment process, we spent a lot of time talking directly to the startup teams, explaining to them the specifics of acceleration and answering their questions in detail. This cost us considerable effort, but it paid off. We have the feeling that companies that understand the rules of the game are joining the accelerator

- AdvanGrid (Latvia) - helps industrial companies to reduce their energy costs and increase their overall efficiency;

- Haris Digital (Hungary) - operates in the industrial Internet of Things;

- InovecTech (Czech Republic) - offers software to automatically record production performance and classify losses across a wide range of industrial machinery;

- Mellivora (Germany) - develops solutions for fast and low-cost creation of e-commerce platforms;

- Polycor Coatings (Sweden) - has developed an innovative anti-corrosion coating, distinguished by the degree of protection it provides;

- PSCoat (Czech Republic) - PSCoat system is a state-of-the-art thermal insulation system for industry and construction;

- Recoshelf (Ukraine) - the startup has developed a system using computer vision and artificial intelligence functions;

- Sinfosy Digital (Germany) - developed a solution for intelligent indoor location and machine data acquisition;

- Softli (Czech Republic) - the startup supports industrial companies with its state-of-the-art modular Production Management System, which can be up and running within 24 hours;

- Solvedio (Slovakia) - will implement a solution for the end-to-end digitisation of company assets;

- Warden AI (Latvia) - uses AI in video analytics to provide companies with quality control and productivity gains.
